## How to trigger it

Paste a link from a design platform — **Dribbble** or **Behance** — optionally with what you
want:

- *"use this as inspiration: https://dribbble.com/shots/…"*
- *"restyle my site in this direction https://www.behance.net/…"*

No chips, no questions — design links run in **inspire** mode.

## What happens

Genesis extracts the design's **palette**, **typography**, and **overall feel**, and applies
that direction to your site — your content and structure stay yours. Design-platform shots
aren't machine-readable web pages, so the *spirit* of the design is what transfers, not a
pixel-faithful copy.

## Want a full page from a reference?

For *"build me a landing like this site, but mine"* — a whole page inspired by a reference URL,
with a vision study and a short design-brief — use the dedicated
[design-from-reference flow](/capabilities/design-from-reference/). Just paste the reference URL
and describe the page you want in your own brand. This page is about borrowing a
**palette and feel** from Dribbble/Behance; the design-from-reference flow produces a full, original page.

## Figma is different — it imports

A **Figma** link is no longer just inspiration. With your Figma account
[connected](/capabilities/figma-import/), Genesis reads the actual frame and rebuilds it
**faithfully** — exact layout, colors, fonts, and your real images. See
[Figma import](/capabilities/figma-import/).

(If you paste a Figma link *without* connecting, Genesis falls back to inspiration mode and
nudges you to connect for the faithful import.)

## Copy the look of your other projects

The AI can also read **another project on your account** and carry its design over — *"use the same
style as my main site"* works. Colors, components, and patterns transfer without you exporting
anything or pasting a single hex code.

Useful when you're building the second site, a landing page, or a
[web app](/platform/web-apps/) that has to look like the flagship.

## Other ways to match a design exactly

- Export the design to HTML and [paste the HTML](/capabilities/html-paste/).
- Built it in claude.ai/design? Use the dedicated
  [Claude Design import](/capabilities/claude-design-import/).
- A screenshot works too: attach an image of any design and ask Genesis to recreate it.
