# Orders

> Every order — searching and filtering the list, the totals for a filter, and what a single order record tells you.

**Orders** is the record of what people bought: one row per order, across every product and
payment method. It opens on paid orders; the status menu switches to **Refunded**, **Failed** or
**All statuses**.

## The list

| Column | |
| --- | --- |
| **#ID** | The order number |
| **Customer** | Name and email |
| **Product** | What was bought |
| **Paid** | The amount. A discounted order shows the original price struck through; a free enrolment reads **Free** |
| **Method** | The payment provider, or *Free* |
| **Type** | **Auto** for a normal checkout, **Manual** for one you granted by hand |
| **Date** | When it happened |

Search by customer or product name, or by order number (`#47559` finds that order alone).

The filter button (slider icon) opens **Filters**. Each rule is a field, a condition and a value;
rules combine with AND.

| Field | Conditions |
| --- | --- |
| **Status** | **Contains** / **Does not contain** — Paid, Refunded, Failed, Cancel |
| **Method** | **Contains** / **Does not contain** — the payment methods in your orders |
| **Product** | **Contains** / **Does not contain** — your products, and what ESTAGE charged the project under **From Estage** |
| **Amount** | **Is between**, **Is at least**, **Is at most** |
| **Date** | **Is between**, **Is on or after**, **Is on or before** |

**Apply** runs them, **Clear** empties them, and the button carries a badge with how many are
active. Applied filters are part of the page address, so a filtered view — "refunded orders over
$100" — is a link you can bookmark or send.

### Totals

As soon as a search or filter is active, cards above the table total what matches: **Paid** (sum
and order count), plus **Refunded**, **Failed** and **Net** (paid − refunded) when there's anything
to show. Cards with nothing in them are left out rather than reading $0.00.

## A single order

Click a row for the full record. The header carries the order's status and whether it was
**Automatic** or **Manual** (a gifted order is badged **Gift**).

- **Product** — what was bought, and for how much.
- **Customer / Email** — who bought it.
- **Date** — when.
- **Payment Method** — how they paid.
- **Coupon** — the [coupon](/commerce/catalog/#coupons) used, if any.
- **Access expires** — when their access ends, for time-limited products.
- **Traffic Source** — where the buyer came from.
- **User IP** — the IP the order came from.
- **Transaction ID** — the provider's reference, and what you quote in a payment dispute.
- **Purchase disclaimer** — the terms shown at checkout.
- **Granted access** — the tags the purchase actually granted.

When the payment provider issued an invoice, **Download Invoice** opens it as a PDF.

Between **Transaction ID** and **Traffic Source** you have what you need for the two questions
orders usually raise: *"where did this sale come from"* and *"what exactly did this person pay
for"*.

## Orders and the rest of the CRM

- The customer's own record collects all of this under **Payments / Invoices** — see
  [the contact record](/crm/contacts/#the-contact-record).
- What a purchase *does* — the access it grants, the tags it applies, where the buyer is sent —
is configured per product, not per order. See
  [after a purchase](/commerce/catalog/#after-a-purchase).
- **Order placed** is an [automation](/email/automations/) trigger, which is how a purchase turns
  into a follow-up sequence.
- Orders from the [online store](/store/) — physical products, with shipments and tracking — have
their own list and their own order view, with items, shipments and partial refunds. To get
there, search for an order with **Search…** (⌘K / Ctrl K) and pick **Show all in Store orders**. See [Orders, shipping & discounts](/store/orders/).
