The **Languages** tab translates your entire site in one go. The AI translates every headline,
button and form label while your layout stays as it is, and visitors switch between languages
instantly. Use it when you sell to more than one market and don't want to keep a copy of the site
per language.

It lives in **Settings → Site → Languages**. It isn't offered for mobile apps.

## Translating your site

1. Under **Site language**, pick the language your site is written in.
2. Under **Translate into**, click each language you want. Popular ones are listed as chips; find
any other in **+ More languages…**.
3. Choose a **Language switcher** (see below) and, if you like, turn on **Auto-detect visitor
   language**.
4. Click **Translate now**.

When it finishes, a **Translation complete** summary lists each language with how many strings
it holds, how many were new and how many were reused. Open the preview and switch the language
to check it. **Save settings** saves the choices on this tab without translating.

Translating runs on your AI credits. Running it again after you edit the site is incremental —
only new text is translated, and anything left over is picked up on the next run.

## Choosing how visitors switch

| Option | What visitors get |
| --- | --- |
| **Floating button** | A small globe bubble in a page corner — pick **Top left**, **Top right**, **Bottom left** or **Bottom right**. Works everywhere with no setup. |
| **In your header** | Click **Place in header with AI** and the AI builds a switcher into your site's navigation, matching its style — native language names, the current language highlighted, the mobile menu included. You can ask it to restyle or move it afterwards. |
| **Hidden** | No visible switcher. Visitors reach a language through a link, or through your own custom control. |

Whatever you choose, a link like `yoursite.com?lang=es` opens the site in that language — useful in
ads and emails.

With **Auto-detect visitor language** on, first-time visitors see the site in their browser's
language when you have it.

## Fixing a translation by hand

Open **Edit texts** to see every string next to its translation. Pick the language at the top and
use **Search texts…** to find a phrase.

- **Editing the translation** changes that one entry. Manual edits survive later **Translate now**
  runs.
- **Editing the original** changes the text on your site itself, and its translations move along
  with it.

Changes apply as soon as you leave the field.

## Things worth knowing

- The **Dictionaries** list shows each language, how many strings it has and when it was last
  updated.
- **Turn off localization** removes the language switcher and the translations from the live
site. The dictionaries are kept, so you can turn it back on later.
