Host your videos on ESTAGE and play them on your Genesis site with the **ESTAGE Video
player** — your own video hosting, no YouTube branding or recommendations. The videos come
from your [ESTAGE Video](/video/) library.

## How to trigger it

- *"add an ESTAGE video player"*, *"put my product demo video under the hero"*,
*"add a background video to the top of the home page"*
- The **Estage Video** entry in the `/` slash menu
- From **Media → Videos** in the builder: a video's **Add to page** or **Use as background
  video**

The AI can see your library. When you name a video, it finds it by title; when several could
fit, it shows your library in the chat so you can pick one.

## Connecting a video

If the player lands on your page without a video yet:

1. **Click the player** in the preview. The **Estage Video** panel opens on the right.
2. Click **Choose a video**. The picker shows your library with folders and **Search videos by
   title**, and takes uploads too.
3. **Click a video** — it's wired to the player on the spot. No copying IDs.

## The player panel

With a video connected, the panel shows its thumbnail, title and length, and:

| Item | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Processing state | *Processing N%. It plays when ready.* while the video is still being processed |
| **Captions and settings** | Opens the video's settings in ESTAGE Video — captions, chapters, thumbnail, player look |
| **Preview** | Opens the video on the ESTAGE player |
| **Autoplay** | Starts the video on load, muted |
| **Loop** | Plays it again when it ends |
| **Hide player controls** | Shows the video without the control bar |
| **Replace video** | Opens the picker to swap in another video |

If the video is **private**, the panel says visitors will see a "Private video" notice instead,
and **Make it public** fixes it in one click.

## Uploading from Genesis

- **Media → Videos** — click **Upload a video** or drop files onto the tab. Up to 8 GB each.
- **Chat** — drag a video file into the chat box or attach it with **+**. It uploads into your
library, and the AI can place exactly that video.

Uploads go into the same library as [ESTAGE Video](/video/uploading/), and a video can be placed
before it finishes processing — it plays once ready.

## What visitors see

The ESTAGE player with your settings from the video's page: your logo and colors, the controls
you left on, captions, chapters, on-video buttons and the end screen. Quality adapts to each
visitor's connection. No account is needed to watch a public video.

## Notes

- **As many players per page as you like** — each is configured independently.
- **Settings live on the video, not the page.** Captions, thumbnail, logo and privacy are set in
ESTAGE Video and apply everywhere the video plays. Only **Autoplay**, **Loop** and **Hide
  player controls** are per player.
- **The AI never deletes videos.** Deleting a video removes it from every page that shows it;
do it yourself in **Media → Videos** or in ESTAGE Video.
- For a **grid or playlist** of several videos, see [Video galleries](/video/galleries/).
