Chat panel features

The chat panel is more than a message box. Here’s everything built into it.

Type / in the composer to open a menu of ready-made building blocks. Pick one (arrow keys + Enter, or click) and it inserts the right starting prompt — including the correct bracket tag where one applies, so you get the dedicated tool every time.

The paperclip button attaches images to your message:

  • Upload a screenshot or mockup — “make my hero look like this”.
  • Browse your assets, search Unsplash, or generate an image.
  • Attach multiple images and Genesis asks what to do with each.

Above the composer, Genesis offers a row of click-to-fill suggestions based on your recent conversation and the page you’re viewing. Click one to load it into the composer, or hide them with the toggle. (Turn them off entirely in Settings → Genesis.)

When you ask a question, Genesis answers without touching your site — marked with an Ask badge. If the answer describes something you want done, the reply includes a Build this now chip that turns it into an actual build request, one click.

Every AI turn that changes files shows a ±N files badge — expand it to see exactly what was created, modified, or deleted, and revert that specific turn if needed. Details in Version history & undo.

If something breaks in the preview, you’ll see the error with a Fix this error action — click it and Genesis diagnoses and repairs it. You can also just type “fix this”.

  • Enter sends; Shift+Enter makes a new line.
  • While Genesis is working you’ll see live progress (files touched, current phase).
  • A selected element scopes your message to it — see the visual editor. The element panel has its own mini-composer too, with a placement picker (Inside / Replace / Below) when you use / commands there.

The chat panel can also flip into a Section Library for browsing pre-built sections and dragging them straight onto the page, and an installer for Syndicate blocks (shared components you add by pasting a share code).
