The projects dashboard

The dashboard is the page behind the logo: every project you own or have been invited to, plus the entry point for creating a new one. It opens on All Projects, with the count of your projects under the title.

New Project opens a “What are we building today?” chooser rather than dropping you straight into a blank prompt:

ChoiceWhat you get
Website or HubLanding pages, funnels, websites or a full ecosystem — publishable to your own domain
Web app (Beta)A server-rendered Next.js app with its own server. You buy a package of build hours when you create it, and a machine for the site when you publish — see Web apps
Mobile app (Beta)A native iOS/Android app built with React Native — see Mobile apps
Desktop app (Beta)A macOS and Windows app built with Electron — see Desktop apps

Each card explains when to pick it, so you’re choosing a target rather than guessing. A Mobile app may need a one-time purchase to unlock, and a Desktop app can only be started from inside the ESTAGE Genesis desktop app. You can add the other targets later: one project can hold a Website, a Web app, a Mobile app and a Desktop app side by side — see Apps inside a project.

Import brings in work from somewhere else instead of starting fresh:

OptionWhat it does
Share codeClones a project someone shared with you (they create the code with Share a copy…)
Legacy EstageAttaches an existing project from the classic ESTAGE platform by its id — see Connecting a legacy community
LovableUpload a .zip or pull from GitHub
Base44Upload a .zip or pull from GitHub
Claude DesignUpload a design export or any site .zip — see Claude Design import

Every card carries the project’s identity, not just its name:

  • The address it lives at — its custom domain if it has one, otherwise its …genesis.estage.com address. A project that was never published shows the address it will get, dimmed, until you publish.
  • The project ID — click it to copy it.
  • An honest state — Live only while the site is actually published (unpublishing clears it), In progress when it has content but isn’t published, Draft when nothing has been generated yet.
  • The date — Published with the date of the last real publish, or Created for a project that was never published.
  • Badges — Shared for a project someone invited you to, and Web app, Mobile or Desktop for those targets.
  • Pinned shortcuts — the first three things you’ve pinned that apply to the project, as icons that go straight there (Orders, SEO, …).

Hover a published project’s thumbnail for Preview, which opens the live site.

  • The search box matches on name, project ID, and domain — so a project you know only by the address a client sent you, or by an id from a support thread, is one search away.
  • Sort by Custom order (drag cards to arrange them), Last opened, Name or Last published, and switch between grid and list view.
  • New Folder creates a folder; drag a project onto a folder to move it there. A folder’s menu has Rename, Manage members and Delete.

Each card’s ⋯ menu — or a right-click on the card — takes you where you meant to go without opening the builder first:

  • Search in this project — opens ⌘K search scoped to the project.
  • Pinned — your pins that apply to this project.
  • Open builder, View live site, and Open community (or Create a community when the project has none yet).
  • CRM — Contacts, Orders, Products, Bookings and more, each in a new tab.
  • Funnels — your latest funnels, or start a new one.
  • Insights and the Blog editor, when they’re on. While analytics is off, the menu offers the setting that turns it on, marked Off.
  • Domain & Email — DNS records and mailboxes, or connect, buy or transfer a domain if the project has none.
  • Settings — every tab you can open, grouped like the Settings page.
  • Invite people…, and for the owner Share a copy…, Duplicate… and Move to folder….
  • Archive (owner) or Leave project… (a member). A Web app has Delete… instead of Archive, because its server keeps billing while it exists.

If the project holds more than one app, an App switch at the top of the menu points Open builder and Settings at the app you pick. Team members see only what their role lets them open.

Archiving takes a project out of your list and its site off the web, but keeps the work. You confirm it by typing the project’s name. Archived projects — including the old project left behind by a re-bind — sit in the dashboard’s Archive folder, where each one’s menu has Restore and Delete permanently.

Account settings, without leaving the page

Section titled “Account settings, without leaving the page”

Your account settings open in a panel over whatever you’re doing, the same way project settings do — no bouncing to a separate page and losing your place.

  • Billing & invoices, Allocation & credits, Usage and Subscriptions are separate tabs — see Account settings.
  • Buying happens right where you are: purchase flows open in the panel instead of sending you off to a settings page.
  • The ESTAGE logo at the top left of the dashboard opens the Welcome Hub.
  • When your credits run low, a banner on the dashboard offers Top up; you can dismiss it for the session.
  • The What’s new button in the header lists recent Genesis updates, and shows a dot while there are ones you haven’t seen.
