Video on ESTAGE

ESTAGE hosts your video itself. Upload once and the platform stores it, processes it into adaptive streaming quality levels, delivers it worldwide, and plays it through its own player. There is no Vimeo or YouTube in the middle, which is what makes paid content, access rules, and your own branding possible on your own domain.

Hosting & processingUpload a source file and the platform transcodes it into adaptive quality levels and delivers them over HLS, so playback adjusts to each viewer’s connection.
A libraryVideos live in a library organised into folders — the same library your site, courses, and community pull from.
Access controlAccess is set per video, and team members can be given access to manage the library. Videos are not public URLs anyone can reshare by default.
Your own playerPlayback runs through the ESTAGE player on your pages, not an embed that advertises another platform or recommends competitors’ videos at the end.
DRM-protected contentPaid material can be delivered in a protected mode that raises the cost of casual copying — used for course lessons and gated rich text.
  • On a site — add a player element to any page and pick a video from your library. See Estage Video player and Video Library.
  • In courses — lessons stream from the same library, with access tied to the purchase. See Courses.
  • In gated contentDRM Rich Text protects written and embedded material the same way.
  • In the community — members watch inside the community portal.

Live is part of the same platform, not a bolt-on:

  • Live streaming — broadcast from OBS or any RTMP encoder to an adaptive player on your page. Viewers get a LIVE badge and the player switches from offline to live by itself. See Live streaming.
  • Webinars — a page that pairs the stream with live chat.
  • Video calls — the community portal supports call rooms between members.

Live pages, like recorded video, run on your own domain under your own brand.
