Editing text and images

The fastest way to change any text on your site:

  1. Double-click the text in the preview.
  2. Type your new text (plain text, up to 300 characters).
  3. Enter or click away to save. Escape cancels.

You’ll see a confirmation toast when it’s saved. If a particular text can’t be edited in place, Genesis automatically passes your change to the AI instead — it still gets done.

Long-form content blocks — like blog post bodies and rich-text widgets — open a full rich-text editor in an overlay when you double-click them. There you get real formatting:

  • Bold, italic, links
  • Headings, lists, blockquotes, code blocks

Close the editor (or click away) to save.

Click an image to select it. You have several ways to change it:

  • Source field — paste any image URL; the preview updates instantly.
  • Object fit — control how the image fills its frame (cover, contain, fill…).
  • Opacity — fade it.

The Open Assets button opens your media browser, where you can:

  • Pick from images you’ve uploaded
  • Search Unsplash for free stock photos
  • Generate an image with AI from a description

Select one and it replaces the image source.

With the image selected, describe what you want:

  • “a cozy coffee shop interior, warm light” → Genesis generates a new image to match
  • Paste an image URL with the image selected → swaps it in
  • “find a photo of mountains at sunset” → searches stock photos
