The funnel builder

The builder is a full-screen canvas where you lay out your funnel as connected steps. Three node types, connected by arrows that define the flow.

NodeWhat it is
PageA step in the journey — landing, opt-in, checkout, thank-you, webinar, or custom.
SourceA traffic source feeding the funnel — Facebook, YouTube, organic, direct…
LogicA branch — an A/B split or a condition gate — with two outgoing paths.
  • Add a node — drag from the Quick Add panel (Page / Source / Logic) onto the canvas, or right-click the canvas to drop one where you click. A blank canvas offers a short walkthrough and a Pick a template shortcut.
  • Connect nodes — drag from a node’s handle to the next node. Genesis validates as you go (no loops, no impossible branches).
  • Insert a step between two — hover the arrow connecting them and click the Insert chip; the new page slots in and the connection re-routes.
  • Delete — click the × on a node, or Shift-click several and press Delete.
  • Undo / Redo — in the top bar, for everything on the canvas.

Handy keys: z fits the whole funnel to screen, Shift-click multi-selects, ? shows the shortcut cheatsheet.

A Logic node sends visitors down one of two paths:

  • A/B split — set the percentage (e.g. 60/40). The choice is sticky per visitor — the same person always sees the same branch on every visit, so your test stays clean.
  • Condition — branch on what you know about the visitor, e.g. a lead field they just submitted (email, country, …). Meets the rule → path A, otherwise → path B.

Branch arrows are labelled (A/B) so the flow stays readable.

The top bar switches the canvas between three lenses:

  • Build — design the flow (everything above).
  • Analyse — overlays real numbers on the canvas: visits and conversion % on each step and arrow, with a date-range picker (Today / 7d / 30d / 90d / All). See Publishing & analytics.
  • Optimise — an AI audit of the funnel: where the biggest drop-off is, what to test, and a one-click Fix with AI that opens the builder with a scoped prompt.
